James Clayton

James Fred Clayton, Jr., 80, of Matoaca, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2012. He was the son of the late James Fred Clayton, Sr. and Emma Collier Clayton. He was a 50 year member of Petersburg Masonic Lodge #3 of A.F. & A.M. He was retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco and served as Auxiliary Police in Dinwiddie and later served in Chesterfield. He is survived by his wife, Marion Clayton of Matoaca; three sons, Freddie Clayton of Matoaca, Billy Clayton of Chester, and Bo Clayton of Dinwiddie; five grandchildren, Rachel, Brittany, Gabrielle, Kyle and Michaela Clayton; and a lifelong friend, Archie Baker of Matoaca. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 24, 2012 in Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
