James Martin Conrecode, 59, of Norco, California died Thursday, January 26, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward J. Conrecode, Sr. and Millicent Frances Conrecode. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant. After completing Basic Training at MCRD Parris Island. He was assigned to MCB Quantico Virginia. There was meritoriously promoted and recognized as the Marine of the year. He was then stationed at Camp Lejeune North Carolina as a Weapons Company Sergeant specializing in Anti-Tank weapons. Completing two deployments to the Mediterranean Sea with Marine Expeditionary Unites afloat. He then returned to Quantico Virginia and graduated from the USMC Embassy Security School. He was then assigned as the Commanding Officer of the USMC security detachments of the United States Consulate at Alexandria Egypt, and subsequently the Embassy at Reykjavik Iceland. Completing his service with the US State Department. He was assigned as a Platoon Sergeant of a Weapons Company at Camp Pendleton California, He was then deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After returning from his last deployment he was assigned to the Inspector Instructor Staff of the Marines in Des Moines Iowa finishing his 20 years of service. He is survived by his brother, Edward J. Conrecode, Jr. and wife, Bonnie; nephew, Edward J. Conrecode, III; niece, Dana E. Conrecode; great-nephew, Theodore Miller; and a brother, Emmett S. Conrecode. A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at
