James Crowder

James Thomas Crowder, 92, of Chester passed away in his sleep, Friday, January 27, 2006. He was the son of the late Timothy and Izetta Taylor Crowder and the husband of the late Ethel A. Crowder. Mr. Crowder retired from the Virginia Department of Highways after 37 years of service. He is survived by a son, Thomas Lee Crowder, Sr. and wife, Brenda; daughter, Mary Carrier; grandsons, Thomas Lee Crowder, Jr. and Matthew E. Crowder; granddaughter, Michelle Barnette and husband, Billy and brother, Norman W., Crowder. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Sunday, January 29, 2006 from 6 to 7:30 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, January 30 at 1 pm.
