James Dillon Lee, 87, passed away on May 16, 2010 at his lifelong home in Dewitt.
He was a member of Rocky Run United Methodist Church, a retired dairy farmer and a veteran of the US Army. He was the son of the late Travis Taylor and Nolie Dillon Lee. Mr. Lee was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters, Helen Lee Grissom, Travis Taylor Lee and Louise Lee Hahn. He is survived by two brothers, Robert D. Lee of Dewitt, and William M Lee (Shirley) of Williamsburg, a sister, Martha Lee Norton (Jerry) of Sequim, WA, a sister-in-law, Eva M. Lee of Dewitt and a brother-in-law, T. Marshall Hahn of Blacksburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Travis Young Lee (Kathy) and Daniel D. Lee (Alicia) of Dewitt, and Virginia A. Lee of Memphis, TN. Other nieces and nephews include Sally Butler (David) of Atlanta, GA., Linda Norton Ratliffe (Terry) of Branson, MS., Betty Hahn Chancey (Doug) and Anne Hahn Hurst of Blacksburg, VA., Will Lee (Cherie) of Williamsburg, VA., and Cindy Lee Peasley (Brad) and Suzanne Lee Browder (Meade) of Richmond, VA. Mr. Lee was also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews including Taylor, Clare, Jordan, Clarke, Cameron, and Meredith Lee, all of Dewitt. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19th at Rocky Run United Methodist Church, Dewitt, VA.. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the family residence in Dewitt. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
