James Richard Daniel

James Richard “Jay” Daniel, 53, of Hampton, VA passed away on March 30, 2018. He was raised in Hopewell, VA. He was the son of the late Richard Howard Daniel and Betty Lou Bransford Daniel. Jay was a graduate of Hopewell High School and Hampden Sydney College. He was retired from the US Dept of Defense. He loved fishing and spending time in the Outer Banks. He was an avid sports fan of the UNC Tarheels and the Washington Redskins. He is survived by his daughter, Emily Carter Daniel; a son, Grant Richard Daniel; and his brother, William “Bill” Daniel and wife, Kelly.
