James Paul Devauld

James Paul DeVauld, Jr., 70, of Chester, VA., passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Paul DeVauld, Sr. and Irma Orendorff DeVauld and grandson, Ryan Eads. James retired from the United States Navy; he was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of American Association and the Sounds of Joy in Virginia Beach. He is survived by his wife, Barbara DeVauld; son, Daniel DeVauld and wife, Krista; daughter, Michelle Sauls; step-son, John Parsons; sisters, Diana McDowell and husband, Ron, Carol Kemp and husband, Patrick; grandchildren, Kyle and Dustin DeVauld; Meghan and Matthew Sauls and an extended loving family. The family will receive friends, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2016 at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd. Chester, VA 23831. A graveside service will be held, 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 at Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia Court House, VA., with Father Hector Trivino officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 4200 Innslake Dr. Suite 301 Glen Allen, VA 23060; http://www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate .
