James Eanes

James Lee â??Geneâ? Eanes, Jr., 87, of Petersburg, passed away Monday, October 29, 2007. Born in Granville County, NC, he was the son of the late James Lee and Donnie Bell Fuller Eanes. He was a retired employee of Seward Luggage Company. Mr. Eanes is survived by a niece, Shirley R. Nealy and husband, Milton of Dinwiddie; a nephew, William T. Riggins, Jr. and wife Marie of Petersburg; great-nieces, Wanda R. Gibbs and husband, Billy, Cathy L. Tucker and husband, Louis and Barbara N. Adkins and husband, Michael; great-nephews, Thomas D. Riggins and Darryl Nealy and wife, Lisa; fourteen great-nieces and great-nephews; and a devoted cousin, Robert L. Critcher and wife, Carolyn of Henderson, NC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, November 1, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John Dundalow officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery.
