James Edwards

James Everett Edwards, Sr., 73, of Petersburg, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Barbara Ruth Edwards; as well as his brothers, Leroy Edwards, Gerald Bubba Edwards, and Wilson Edwards; sister, Debbie Edwards; and infant son, James Everett Tatum.

James was a roofer for over 50 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching old westerns on TV. He loved the city of Petersburg. James will be remembered as a dependable and loving father.

James is survived by his sons, Willard Gill, Elvis Edwards (Lisa), and James Edwards Jr.; granddaughter, Samantha Edwards; and sisters, Dorothy Edwards and Patsy Hogan.
