James Hubert Gay

James Hubert Gay, 61, of Disputanta, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, James Tillman Gay.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Brenda Gay; children, Joshua Gay (Mindy), Steven Gay (Jamie), and Stacy Hughes (Bradley); grandchildren, Kaeli Jo, Kolton, Kaleb, Elijah, Hoyt, Everett, Sawyer, and Baylor; mother, Barbara Gay; siblings, Aaron Gay (Angela), Karin Pfuntner (Richard), and Chris Gay (Kimberly).
James Gay was a proud co-founder of Quality Plus Services, a business that he owned and operated with his family for many years. He served as President of F.F.A, was a member of the Heights Baptist Church, a member of Ole Hickory Hunt Club, and was a Prince George Master Gardener.
He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting with his dogs, gardening, and traveling. He also enjoyed driving his grandchildren around his property and feeding the fish in his ponds.
Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the funeral home.
