James Earl Hammond

James Earl Hammond, 64, of Dinwiddie, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018. James was preceded in death by his parents Mary Ann and Jimmie Allen Hammond. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Hammond; daughters, Holly Varnier (Sonny), Jamie Strosnider (Michael), and Stacy Lipford (Charles); son Earl Osborne; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; Brothers Robert Hammond (Debbie), and Michael Hammond; and sister Sandy Gilliland (Mike). James Retired from Dupont after 45 years of service at the Hopewell Plant. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30pm at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Dinwiddie Chapel, on Friday, May 18.
