James Harrison

James Harvey Harrison, 87, of Chester, former resident of Marion Ave in Hopewell, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010. He was born in Granite Falls, N. C. Mr. Harrison served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and was a supervisor for Lone Star Ind. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Steve and Maud Clark Harrison. Surviving are his wife, Rachel Price Harrison of Chester, a daughter, Lisa Harrison Ross and husband, Timothy of Chester, two grandchildren, Jessica Bear of Chester and Marcus Bear of Wilson, N. C. one great-grandchild, Lillian Jordan of Chester., three sisters, Mae Hemphill and Lena Robbins both of Granite Falls, N. C., Sue Bush of Charlotte, N. C., several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 12:00 noon in the Hopewell funeral home chapel with Rev. Bruce Catron, pastor of First Congregational Christian Church, officiating. Interment will be private. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com
