James Adolph “Jimmy” Hendrick, Jr., 78, of Chester, passed away on January 1, 2015. Born in Chesterfield Co. he was the son of the late James Adolph Sr. and Annie Valenta Hendrick. Jimmy was a United States Army Veteran and retired from Honeywell after 34 years of service. He enjoyed watching birds and was an avid gardener. He is survived by his brother, John E. Hendrick, Sr. and wife, Cindy; one son, Hans David Hendrick; devoted nephew, David “Dootsie” Hendrick and wife, Kelly; nephew, John E. Hendrick, Jr. and wife, Kaye; five great nieces and nephews, Nathan, Parker and Emma Hendrick, Olivia and Avery Viar; devoted friend, Bob Drake; and many close cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Petersburg, VA.
