James Johnson

James Preston Johnson, 59, of Hopewell, died Saturday, April 9, 2005 at his residence. He was born in Washington, D.C. Mr. Johnson served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War, was an Electrician with E.I. Dupont and a member of the International Brotherhood Electrician Local # 1423. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Vickie Payne Johnson. Surviving are his wife Elsie Brooks Johnson of Hopewell, two sons, James P. Johnson ands wife Kelly Anne, of Jacksonville, NC., Michael A. Johnson and friend, April Johnson of Hopewell, a grandson, Travis Preston Johnson of Jacksonville, NC., several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at 2 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Rev. Bruce Bevans, Rector of St. John?s Episcopal Church officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be private.
