James Kump, Sr., 90, of Prince George County, beloved husband of Lydia, departed on his journey on Tuesday, January 30, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Kump, Sr. and Mary Nedvyet Kump; sons, James Kump, Jr. and William Burnett Kump; siblings, Mike, Joseph, Frank, Jr., and Karel Kump, Mary Wolf and Ann Kvasnicka. He was a member of Church of Sacred Heart where he served as an usher and was a retired auto mechanic who in his final working years served as a sharp shooting mechanic for Crater District Area On Aging. Along with his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Ann Kump Flynn (Britton); grandchildren, Dustin B. Kump (DeAnn), Desiree Renee Kump, Erin Flynn Watson (Edward) and Britton Flynn, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Dustin B. Kump, Jr., Brooke and Kirstin Kump; brothers, Robert Kump (Betty) and Charles Kump (Barbara); sister, Josephine Kump Vinsh (Robert) and numerous nieces and nephews. A wake service will be held at the Church of Sacred Heart on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 7 pm with a visitation to follow. A mass of the resurrection will be held on Friday, February 2nd at 11 am at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
