James Edward Leber

James Edward Leber, 75, of Chester, VA passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Leber and Ceciala Drudge Leber; and his loving wife of 40 years, Bonnie Leber. He is survived by his son, John Leber; nieces, Debra Barker, Amanda Barker and Tiffany Barker; nephew, Sean Bridgmon; and a cousin, Temple Heggie. James was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Cuban Missile Crisis serving from 1960-1965. James was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 100, and worked at Reynolds Metal/Alcoa for many years. James enjoyed doing volunteer work with children. James coached youth football in the Chesterfield Quarterback League from 1983-2015. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
