James Edgar Lohr Jr.

James Edgar Lohr Jr., 75, of Chester, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. He was the son of the late, James E. Sr. and Charlotte S. Montague Lohr. Mr. Lohr was a faithful member of Chester Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Children’s Sunday School Teacher. He retired from DuPont after forty years of service. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn M. Hawkins Lohr; two sons, James E. Lohr III, and his wife, Edith, and Mike S. Lohr and his wife, Katie; two daughters, Heidi L. Hayes and her husband, Glenn, and Tammy L. Jeter and her husband, Jeff; ten grandchildren, Eddie, Cameron, Nick, Will, Hunter, Sydney, Allison, Tessa, Ashley, and Austin; brother, Robert Lohr; sister, Rebecca Rose; and other loving family and friends. A memorial service to celebrate the life of James E. Lohr, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Chester Baptist Church with the Dr. Lloyd Braswell officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church. Interment will be private.
