James Henry Mason, 65, â??Jimmyâ? of Charles City County, passed away at his residence Saturday September 16, 2006. He was the son of the late Henry Harrison and Ethel Rowe Mason and the loving husband of Brenda A. Mason whose marriage spanned 32 wonderful years. He was preceded in death by his beloved dog Misfit. He was retired from civil service where he worked as a plumber/pipe fitter. He was an avid hunter who loved to hunt deer; he loved to fish, collect civil war memorabilia and look for artifacts with his metal detector, was a member of Masonic Lodge # 216, member of the Asphalt Angels Car Club, member of the Plumbers and Pipe fitters local # 10, and loved to restore old cars. He loved his 1939 Ford Coupe which he restored from the ground up. He is survived by two sisters; Frances Fountain of Stony Creek, Ellen Wiley of Savannah, Georgia, brother; Juette Ryals & wife Betty of Orlando, Florida, numerous nieces and nephews, special friend Jean Moore, and his cat Paws. The family will receive friends Monday September 18, 2006 6-8 PM at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home, a grave side service with Masonic Rites will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 AM in Blandford Cemetery.
