James D. Neddo, Sr., 55, of Hopewell died Tuesday, May 31, 2005 in Henrico Doctors Hospital, in Richmond. He was born in Prince George County and had been a lifelong resident of this area. Mr. Neddo was an avid hunter and fisherman and a dedicated member of Woodfin Hunt Club. He was a lifetime member of the Petersburg Jaycees, having rose to the rank of Ambassador, as well as Senator of the Virginia Jaycees. He was Fresh Manager at Sam?s Club in Colonial Heights for the past 5 years. Mr. Neddo was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Forloines and a brother, William Neddo. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Will Neddo of Hopewell, a son, Jim Neddo and his wife Bridget, twin grandsons, Daniel and Patrick Neddo all of Jacksonville, FL, his father, George Neddo of Hopewell, four sisters-in-law, Mary Neddo of Burgess, VA, Linda Moore, and Freda Ragsdale, both of Hopewell, Nancy Will, of Caroline County, a special great aunt, Hester Farrish of Prince George, and 2 special longtime friends of the family Bev Woodson of Caroline County and Ray Bowles of Colonial Heights. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 2, 2005 from 7:00 to 8:30PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 3, 2005 at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Milo Marr officiating. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA.
