James R. Nelson

James R. Nelson, 71, of Richmond, Va., passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Mr. Nelson was currently employed at Martin’s at Chesterfield Meadows. He is preceded in death by his parents; Eugene Nelson, Sr. and Myra Bobbitt Nelson; sister, Betty Nelson Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Shirley E. Nelson; children, James Robert Nelson, Jr., Karen Nelson, Danielle Wray (Tim), Jessica Nelson; brothers, Eugene C. Nelson, Jr., Benjamin G. Nelson; step-children, Dee Fitchett (George), A.J. Steele (Jody), Jeff Steele, Pam Colpo (Peter), Karen and Sharon Lucas; grandchildren, Victoria, Chase, Sophie, Jack, Aaron, Jack, Nicholas, and Max. Family will receive friends on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Branch’s Baptist Church, 3400 Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond, Va. 23234, with Pastor Mat Brown, officiating.
