James Parks

James Frederick Parks, age 69, of Chester, Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009. He was born in Waterloo, Iowa, son of the late Harley Otis and Alice Homan Parks. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Rosemary and Marion, and his brothers, Don and David. Mr. Parks is survived by his lovely wife of 49 years, LaVerne Parks; son, James R. Parks and wife, Leslie; daughters, Tamara Whitehouse and Michelle Hague and husband, David; grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn, Timothy James, Darby Ann and Alexandra Margaret; brothers, Stanley Nerad and Jack Parks; and sisters, Pat Shores and Opal Hanna. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel.
