James Perry

Perry, Mr., James Helton â??Tuckâ?, 87, of Hopewell, VA departed this life on Thursday, December 1, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents Myrtle and Norman Perry and brother Russell Owen Perry. He is survived by his loving wife Goldie Corrine Perry of 60 years; brother, Carlton Edward Perry and wife Lois Perry; sister-in-law, Linda Sanzo and husband Joseph; one Aunt, Ethel Turner; and many nieces and nephews, and a special acknowledgment of nephew Wayne Bennett who has assisted us during the illness. James served in the army during WWII with duty in the European Campaign. During his work career he was employed with the U.S. Postal System, and the Department of Defense at Fort Lee, VA. He was very outgoing and never met a stranger and everyone was a friend. The family will receive friends and relatives Monday, December 5, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home (820 W. Broadway Hopewell, VA 23860). The family will meet friends at the Southlawn Memorial Park Cemetery for a graveside service at 11 am on Tuesday, December 6, 2011.
