James Michael Philyaw

James Michael Philyaw, 65, of Prince George, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Philyaw; and nephew, Derek Vrable.
James was employed with Philip Morris Tobacco Co. as an operator for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and taking rides on his motorcycle. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Philyaw; children, Britten Philyaw and Melissa Philyaw; grandson, Britten Philyaw, Jr.; sister, Donna Vrable; niece, Shannon Jones; nephew, Michael Vrable; and numerous other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Sycamore United Methodist Church, Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service.
