James Edward ?Skipper? Sacra, Jr., 58, of Doswell, Virginia, died Monday, April 25, 2005 at his residence. He was born in Richmond, Virginia and was a former residence of Hopewell. Mr. Sacra served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War , a retired civil engineer for Pizzagalli Construction Co., and a graduate of Virginia Tech. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Paulette Coates Sacra, Sr. Surviving are his daughter, Stephanie Sacra Satterwhite of Richmond, a son, James Ryland Sacra of Norfolk, Va., three grandchildren, Aaron Sacra-Lazar, Joshua Satterwhite and Andrew Satterwhite, his mother, Velma Dailey Sacra of Hopewell, two sisters, Sandra S. Hughes of Richmond, Carol W. Perreault of Colonial Heights, two brothers, H. Dailey Warren of Atlanta, Ga., and David L. Warren of Claremont, his uncle, Charles Ryland Sacra of Hopewell , a long time devoted friend of the family, Ann M. Green, and his loving companion, Kathy L. Martin of Ashland. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, April 27, 2005 from 7-8:30 in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Edward Bellis, pastor of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be private.
