Mr. James Edward â??Little Redâ? Smith, Sr., 70, passed away peacefully at his residence on February 11, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. This was after a courageous battle with cancer. James retired from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Co. and Kings Dominion Amusement Park. He loved going to Nags Head and working with wood to make an assortment of items. James is predeceased by his mother, Myrtis Munden Smith; father, Charles Robin Smith; children, Deborah Lucy Hill and James Ray Lucy; siblings, Myrtis Verdel â??Tootsieâ? Smith Taylor, Charles Robin â??Bubbaâ? Smith, Jr., and William Vernon â?? Billyâ? Smith. He is survived by is devoted wife of over 34 years, Marie Ann Smith; children, Angela L. Carter, of Petersburg, Dawn L. Aguino (Filmer), of Chester, Peggy A. Keeney, of Florida, Ida â??Maryâ? L. Gray (Jerry), of Sutherland, and James E. Smith, Jr., of Richmond; 8 grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Anthony, K.C., Crystal, Anne, Allen, and Cameron; 5 great grand children; siblings, Virginia Mae â??Ginnyâ? Smith Bumblis, of Silver Spring, MD, Margaret â??Maggieâ? Smith Hong-Barco, of Pittsburgh, PA, and Harry Arnold â??Peteâ? Smith, of Petersburg; and host of beloved family and friends. Family will receive friends on Tuesday February 14, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home Petersburg Chapel. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Southlawn Memorial Park. I lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions may be made to Crater Community Hospice (3916 S.
