James Stech

James Alexander Stech, 40, of Henrico County, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2010. He was born in Petersburg and was a graduate of St. Vincent DePaul High School. He was a longtime employee of the Galaxy Diner in Carytown. James was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Moore Stech; brother, John Robert Stech, Jr.; and nephew, Jonathan Hart. He is survived by his partner, James Watts of Henrico; parents, John R. and Mercedes Hart Stech of Ettrick; sister, Jennie Stech Owen and husband, Billy of Chester; brothers, Enrique Hart and wife, Luci of Florida and Carlos Hart of Chesterfield; and several nieces and nephews. A Christian Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 14th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church, 7310 Squirrel Level Road, Petersburg, VA 23805, with Rev. Msgr. Joseph Pham, Celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
