James Howard Venable Iii

James Howard Venable III, 62, passed away at home on February 11, 2023, in Disputanta, Virginia. Preceded in death by his parents, James H. Venable, Jr. and Grace T. Butler; and sister, Vicki Taylor. Survived by his wife of 43 years, Connie Burkhardt Venable; sister, Rene Reams; children, James Arron, Jesse (Caroline), Travis (Adrian) and Katherine "Little C'; and ten grandchildren, Alyssa, Mekayla, Jenna, Austin, McKenzie, Eliana, Nicholas, Reilly, Savannah, and Jacob; as well as numerous extended family and friends. He was a devoted family man, cherished his friendships, and loved his country. "Jimmy/Tobi/Jimmy Jam" will be remembered as a football coach, bass angler, NASCAR fan, musician, and most importantly a great man.
He will be watching over his home, Outcast bass fishing club, and his second home at Bush Park Campground.
The family will receive family and friends Monday, February 20, 2023, from 6 pm - 8 pm, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23831. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 3 pm, at Bethal Baptist Church Cemetery, 1100 Huguenot Springs Road, Midlothian, VA 23113.
