James Douglas Watkins Sr.

James D. Watkins, Sr. of Dinwiddie, Va. passed into the arms of the Lord on July 13, 2015. He was born on July 21, 1929. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Maude Watkins; one brother, Jimmy Watkins; sons, Doug Watkins and Thomas Watkins; daughters, Patsy Williams (Brian) and Judy McGregor (Dan); 7 grandchildren, Sharon Nixon, Chrissy Elmore, B.J. Williams, Jessica Moody, Lauren Watkins, Chad Barricks, and Ryan McGregor; 7 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Wilson, Amanda Williams, Lillie Moody, Emma Moody, Jaxson Moody, Hannah Barricks and Autumn Barricks. The family would like to thank Crater Community Hospice, Angela Barricks, and Shirley Andrews for all the love and support. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. The family is being served by the Dinwiddie Chapel of the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
