James Weaver

James Roy Weaver, 67, of Wilmington, N.C. formerly of Hopewell passed away Friday, April 16, 2004 surrounded in love by his family. Born December 22, 1936, in Hopewell, Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Francis C. Weaver and Bertha Mann Weaver. Roy and his wife Carol had recently retired to Wilmington, N.C. to enjoy the beach, the river and his love of gardening. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Carol Harvey; his sons, William (Bill) and James (Jim) and his daughter-in-law Mary Stokes Weaver; brothers, Francis Clifford Weaver, Jr. and Patrick T. Harvey; sisters, Phyllis Reich, Bertie Littlejohn, Evelyn Warren, Linda Hoover, Susan Sober, Janis Bedsole, Gloria Hays and Linda Davis; also numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30PM Monday, April 19, 2004 in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, April 20, 2004. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
