James Elmer Williams, 71, of Prince George, passed away Sunday December 5, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his parents Elmer & Cecil Loveday Williams, sister, Thelma Ogle and a sister-in-law Helen Williams. Jim was retired from Stone Container were he was employed as a welder for over 30 years, a veteran of the United States Air Force, loved to hunt and fish, was a member of the Powell Creek Hunt Club, past member of Burrowsville Fire Department, and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Louise Williams, son, James Dennis Williams & wife Kathy of King, NC., sisters, Sherry Middleton & husband Bill of Woodway, Carolyn Braden & husband John of Springfield, brothers, Jerry Williams of Prince George, Tom Williams and wife Donna of Big Stone Gap, granddaughters, Sara Mincoff of Hopewell, Chelsea Mincoff of King, NC, and a brother-in-law Wayne Ogle. The family will receive friends Wednesday December 8, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM., at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, funeral services will be after the visitation at 7:00 PM., with Tom Williams officiating. Interment will be private.
