Jane Grutchfield

Jane White Grutchfield, 69, of Petersburg, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2007. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Fred L. and Audrey Spencer White. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, the Ravenscroft Womenâ??s Club, and was a retired loan and mortgage officer in the banking business. Mrs. Grutchfield is survived by her husband, MAJ George C. Grutchfield, USAF (Retired) of Petersburg; daughter, Karen G. Skinner; grandson, John Thomas Skinner, III; siblings, Audrey White Webb and husband, E. G., Fred L. White, Jr. and wife, Brenda all of Colonial Heights, Susan White Griswold of Petersburg, and Samuel Hardy White and wife, Brenda of Chesterfield; uncle, William A. Spencer of Petersburg; one niece and a number of nephews, which she was a Meemaw to all. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, February 20, 2007 in Blandford Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Daniel E. Hales officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
