Jane Wyatt Seay

Jane Wyatt Seay, 96, of Petersburg, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2013 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Petersburg, Virginia on April 2, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Frank E. Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Seay, Jr., and brother, Dr. Norman F. Wyatt. She is survived by two daughters, Cathy S. Bowman and her husband, Bruce of Dinwiddie, and Carroll S. Hathaway and her husband, Dennis of Hopewell; one son, James M. Seay, III. and his wife, Gail of Stony Creek; one granddaughter, Sherri S. Bailey of Texas; and great-granddaughter, Sidney Bailey also of Texas. She was a lifelong member of Second Presbyterian Church where she sang for many years in the choir and also played in the Bell Choir. She was a volunteer (Twigs) for many years at what was formerly known as Petersburg General Hospital and later Southside Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. James H. Blankenship at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 2, 2013 in Blandford Cemetery.
