Jane Smith Wilson

Jane Smith Wilson, 96, of Petersburg, VA, died November 30, 2024. Born in Richmond and raised in Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late William T.E. and Rosalie Gates Smith. She was retired from social services and the juvenile court system of Petersburg, VA. She was a graduate of Maury High School, The College of William and Mary, and Boston University. She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church and later Second Baptist Church, of Petersburg, VA. Jane Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Thomas Wilson; as well as three brothers, Louis, Millard, and John (Jack) Smith. Jane is survived by her three children, Lynn Mogrovejo, and her husband, Jorge, Tom Wilson, and Bruce Wilson; as well as four grandchildren, Christopher, Heidi, Jeremy, and Jonathan; and great-grandchildren. A graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Blandford Cemetery.
