Janet Bryant Coleman

Janet Bryant Coleman "2Mom", 83, of Hopewell, VA, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Clinton "Tusky" and Helen Williams Bryant. Mrs. Coleman was also preceded in death by her husband, James A. Coleman; and her daughter, Cynthia Coleman English. Janet was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Hopewell. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Coleman is survived by her son, Blane A. Coleman and his wife, Terrie; her grandchildren, Heather Heilman (Michael), Amanda Coleman, Kyle English (Stacy), and Blane Coleman II; great-grandchildren, Acelynn, Addison, Cynphany, Mikey, and Trea; dedicated and beloved niece, Kathy Vincent; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 30, 2023, in Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 401 N. 2nd Avenue, Hopewell, VA.
