Janet Cotter Rook

Janet Cotter Rook, 66, of N. Dinwiddie passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Born December 21, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Cecil L. and Bonnie G. Cotter, and was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry Riggs, Bobby Cotter, Jimmy Cotter, and Ricky Cotter. Janet was an avid reader and enjoyed playing games on her iPad. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, William Edward Rook, Sr.; children, Angie Abernathy and husband, Mark, William Edward Rook, Jr., Shawn Edward Rook; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Homes and Crematory, 6616 Boydton Plank Road, N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803. Interment will take place at a later date in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
