Janet Louise Summers

Janet Louise Summers, 76, of N. Dinwiddie, went to be with the Lord, Friday, September 15, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, George B. and Emma Moore Summers; and sister, Ann Summers Jordan. Janet was a teacher for 40 plus years. She retired from Dinwiddie County Public Schools and then went on to substitute teach for many years. She was also a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by her nephew, Burke Veazey; beloved horse, Prissy and two loving dogs, Sidekick and Reese; and numerous close friends . A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Colonial Heights Baptist Church, 17201 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
