Janet Patricia Faison Darbyshire

Janet Patricia Faison Darbyshire, 74, of Hopewell, passed away on August 24, 2013. Born in Petersburg, VA she was the daughter of the late William Lee and Frances Robertson Faison; and was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Lee Bookman. Mrs. Darbyshire had worked for Firestone and had also volunteered with the Hopewell Holiday Hands. She served as Senior Regent in the Woman of the Moose in Hopewell and had also served as the Deputy Grand Regent for the State of Virginia Woman of the Moose. Mrs. Darbyshire was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Marion L. Darbyshire; a son, William L. Darbyshire(Esther); one daughter, Dannette G. Darbyshire; a granddaughter, Victoria Forehand; two great-grandchildren, Patricia and Stephen Forehand; a brother, Donald W. Faison(Arlene); one sister, Frances Levell Webster(Herbert); an uncle, Benjamin I. Faison(Billie); a brother-in-law, Lawrence Darbyshire(Marie); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Curtis Butterworth, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
