Janice Irene Gibson

Janice Irene Gibson, 76, of Chester, passed away from cancer at her residence, Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born and raised in Pleasant Mt., Pennsylvania. She and her husband traveled with the Air Force for 20 years before settling in Chester, where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Janice worked as a Hairstylist for 20 years before moving into Banking. Janice retired from Sun Trust bank as an Assistant Vice President in Richmond. In retirement she worked part-time at Johnston Willis Hospital. Janice is survived by her husband Roger Gibson; daughter, Carolyn Gibson Langon (James); son, Barton Gibson (Sherri Linn Morris); 3 sisters, Janet Armstrong (Don), Carol Reynolds (Joe McKeown), and Sharon Byers (Mel); 2 brothers, Albert Wildenstein (Ann) and Jim Wildenstein (Julie); 2 sister-in-laws, Jean Wildenstein and Margaret Gibson Wolfe (Fran); brother-in-law, Cal Gibson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, 12132 Percival St., Chester, VA 23831. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060. The family is being served by J. T.
