Janice Marie Odom

Janice Marie Odom, 80, of Hopewell, VA went to see our Lord and Savior December 30, 2021. She was born in Bertie County, North Carolina on July 13, 1941. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillie-Mae & Ernest Farmer; her son, William Keith Odom; her sister, Shelia Denise Farmer; and her Grandson, Joshua Hunter Smith. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, of 63 years William (Bill) Odom; her son, Kenneth Odom (Shellia); her twin daughters, Karen Walston (Billy) and Kimberly Odom (Reggie); 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Ruth Melia Cassell. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and going out to eat at Hardee’s. She loved all her family very much and would give them anything they wanted. She was a very giving person and cared for everyone. She is very important to our family and means the world to all of us. The family will receive friends between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, VA.
