Jason McCoy Bell, 48, of Chester, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Jason Bell was born at Seymour Johnson Airforce Base in Goldsboro, NC. He enjoyed helping others and was an accomplished Eagle Scout. Jason was employed with UPS and was known for his incredible work ethic. He had a passion for playing the drums and making music. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry “Papa” Bell and Lois “Mama” Bell. He is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita “Nita” Bell; daughters, Skylee Dujardin Bell and Carlie Cutright (Brad); devoted father, Clyde Bell (Lynn); brother, Warren Bell; step-sister, Amanda Vick; step-brother, Cory Mitchell (Shelby); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy and Diane Johnson; brothers-in-law, Daniel Crump (Cindy) and Richard Crump; sister-in-law, Kim Ellen; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and especially his musical family. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
