Jaye Marie Wright

Jaye Marie Wright, 65, of Petersburg, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Lawrence Burns and Rita Esler Burns. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jameson Burns; niece, Joy Burns; and several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Lawrence Wright, Jr.; children, Joshua Wright, Jordan Wright, and Jenny Wright (Cole Collier); grandchildren, Jamie Wright, Joshua Wright, and Olivia Collier; siblings, Jo Beth Hartz (Frank), Joseph Burns (Marcia), and Janeen Massenburg (Robert); and sisters-in-law, Donna Fuller, Denise Tudor, Kathy Massey-Gill, and Lisa Scott.
Jaye worked in finance and accounting at Fort Lee for many years. Afterwards, she went on to work at Amelia Bovine Veterinary Clinic. She absolutely loved the beach and spending time by the water. Her greatest passion in life was her family and making sure they were taken care of. She will forever be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is loved and will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
