Jean Harrell Dorsett, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday February 24, 2012.
She was born January 27, 1929 in Mount Olive, North Carolina and grew up in Hampton, Virginia graduating from Hampton High School in 1949. She and her husband raised their three children in Chester, Virginia prior to moving to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where she resided for the past 15 years.
Mrs. Dorsett was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Belle Harrell, her sister Evelyn Johnston and her loving husband Frank Paul Dorsett, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters and their families, Karen Stephens and husband Warren, Lisa Calloway, Teresa Patterson and husband Kevin, five grandchildren, Stephanie Oliver and husband Shawn, Brandon Burho, Jacob Calloway, Jozi and Riley Patterson, one great-grandson, Ethan Oliver, as well as a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday February 27 at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Chester, Virginia with services being held Tuesday February 28 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia.
