Jean Whitchurch

Jean P. Whitchurch, 76, of Colonial Heights, widow of Daniel B. Whitchurch, passed away Monday, October 13, 2008. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Eleanor Boisseau Powell. She was a longtime member of Lakemont Baptist Church in Petersburg. Mrs. Whitchurch is survived by her son, Danny Whitchurch and wife, Becky of Prince George; grandson, Shawn Whitchurch of Blacksburg; sisters, Margaret Porter of Colonial Heights and Judy Barnes of Prince George; brothers, Claude Powell, Jr. of Petersburg and Robert Powell of Dinwiddie; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 15, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 PM Thursday at Southlawn Memorial Park.
