Jeanette Diane Cook-Priestley, died Sunday, June 18, 2017, at her residence in Chester, Virginia. She was born October 28, 1969, in Natchez Mississippi to William P. Cook and Beverly Hultgren Cook. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Brown, sister, Lori Cook, grandson, Bram Long, niece, Andrea Cook, both grandfathers and one grandmother. The family later settled in Burlington, Iowa, where she attended Corse Elementary School and then Danville High School. Jeanette then moved to Virginia where she met and married Robert Priestley II. Jeanette enjoyed karaoke, cooking, bingo, Texas Hold’em, collecting frogs, and her grandchildren. She is survived by three children, Joshua Cook of Chesterfield, VA, Samantha (Tommy) Long of Hopewell, VA, Derrick Priestley of Chesterfield, VA; two sisters, Shari (Steve) Meyer of Brenham, TX, and Christina (Shawn) Daugherty of North Chesterfield, VA; two brothers, William (Mary) Cook, and Gregg Brown of Chesterfield, VA; grandmother, Doris (Clyde) Hultgren of West Burlington, IA; granddaughter, Ashlynn Priestley of Chesterfield, VA; an uncle, several cousins, nephews, and nieces. A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23831.
