Jeanette Overton

Jeanette K. Overton, 78, of Chester, formerly of Dinwiddie, died Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at her home. She was born in Bear Grass, NC and was the daughter of the late A. B. and Flora Hampton Rogerson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Byrd Overton and a grandson, Brandon Dale Wray. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Barry D. and Bonnie Wray; two daughters, Terri O. Jones and Valerie K. Rogowski all of Chester; four grandchildren, Spencer R. Wray, Steve W. Worrell, Krystle D. Rogowski and Shawn Rogowski; brother, Gerald B. Rogerson of Dinwiddie; and numerous nephews and a niece. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Pfost, assistant pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Entombment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
