Jearline King, 81, of Chester, VA, was born June 1, 1939 in Crawfordville, Arkansas, to the late Frank King and Edna Davis. Jearline departed this life on Monday, March 22, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Gertrude Felton, (who raised her after her mom’s passing).
Jearline was employed as a Senior Secretary with Cleveland Public Schools, retiring after more than 30 years of service. She was a long-time member of Starlight Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio, serving on the nurses guild. When she moved to Georgia in 2010, she became an active member of Friendship Baptist Church in Duluth, Georgia. For recreation she attended Lawrenceville Senior Center and was a proud member of the Red Hat Society. Her favorite hobbies were traveling (especially to Germany), and working her crossword puzzles. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved her grandkids with all of heart. Her physical presence will be truly missed, but she will always live in our hearts.
She leaves to cherish in her memories: her son, Dr. Kenneth King; daughter-in-law, Lorna King; grandsons, Ken Jr. and Kevin; sister, Della Banks; nephew, Kenneth Banks; and niece, Monique Banks.
