Jenny Hawkins

Mrs. Jenny Hawkins, born May 16, 1932 departed her life on Monday, February 25, 2008. She was a resident of Petersburg. She is predeceased in death by her husband John W. Hawkins and brother, Billie Phillips. Jenny leaves to cherish her loving daughters, Deborah Powell and husband, James and Billie Jo Hawkins Southern and husband, Lionell of Texas; one brother of Petersburg, Bobby Phillips, along with her grandchildren, Antione Cole, Katina Brown, Teresa C. Fitzgerald, and John W. Southern of Texas. She will be well missed by her great grandchildren, John W. Campo, Kiana Cole, Sylvia Brown, Bianca Winfield, Larry Cole, Cortez Cole, Tyrecus Holmes and her devoted niece Brenda Traylor (William) of Dinwiddie; two sister-in-laws, June Phillips and Judy Phillips of Amelia, VA. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Thursday, February 28, 2008 from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 1:30 pm with Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating. Burial will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
