Jermae Germaine Moore

Jermae “Germaine” Moore, 80, of Petersburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Born in Harmony, VA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Doyle and Janie Maude Simmons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Forest Lee Moore. Germaine graduated from Dinwiddie High School Class of 1951, was a faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist for 57 years, and worked at Progress-Index for 30 years. She is survived by three sons, Ronald Lee Moore, Kenneth Allen Moore, and Robert Dale Moore; daughter, Connie Elaine Moore; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; close and dear friend, Gerald Rogerson; and numerous other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 22218 Dabney Mill Rd., Petersburg, VA 23803. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
