Jerry Cabaniss

Jerry Wayne Cabaniss, 69, of Hopewell, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011. He worked for Stone Container for thirty-eight years. Mr. Cabaniss coached Little League football and baseball in Hopewell. He was a member of the Chesterfield Quarterback League, and a member of the Optimist Club of Hopewell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edith Cabaniss and Gordon Cabaniss; and a son, Charles Walton. He is survived by his wife of forty years, Grace Cabaniss; children, Beatrice Cummins, and Terry Walton; grandchildren, Jerry Studer, Karlee Clements, Crystal Walton; great grandchild, McKenzie J. Walton; brother, Gordon Cabaniss; sister-in-law, Mary Cabaniss; niece, Angela Cabaniss; nephew, Shannon Cabaniss; as well as numerous uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with interment to follow at Bermuda Memorial Park in Chester.
