Jerry Dale Hundley

Jerry Dale Hundley, 69, of Hopewell, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Born in West Virginia on April 9, 1951, he was the son of the late Holley Hundley, Sr. and Russie Lemasters Hundley. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Stanley E. Hundley (Mildred), and Emmett Mason Hundley; brothers-in-law, Sherman Vealey, Earnest Chappell.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Summa (Corey); granddaughter, Everly Summa; Ashley’s mother, Carolyn, who is Everly’s Mimi; siblings, Rosie Vealey, Holley Hundley, Jr. (Leona), Robert Hundley (Mildred), Carol Combs (James), James Hundley (Norene), Wavie Chappell, Lovie Ruloff (Jerry), and Charles Hundley (Mary); and sister-in-law, Freda Hundley; he was particularly close to his nephew, Charles and wife Kim Vealey, & their families. He was loved by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too many to name though he will be greatly missed by all.
Jerry Hundley was employed with Allied Chemical/Honeywell as a Lab Technician, retiring after more than 30 years. He enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, and cooking. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family. He especially enjoyed singing the “Hot Dog Song” to his granddaughter. He will be dearly missed.
