Jerry Lee Norwood

Rev. Jerry Lee Norwood, 72, of Enon, VA, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Born in Petersburg, VA, he was the son of the late Marshall Lee and Dorothy Green Norwood; and was also preceded in death by two brothers, Danny and Morris Norwood. Jerry faithfully served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Norwood was an evangelist and talented musician who enjoyed singing and praising his Lord and Savior in all he did. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time on the water with his wife. Jerry was loved by everybody and never met a stranger. Mr. Norwood is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Anita Norwood; two sisters, Nancy Starke (Jim) and Teresa Magda (Michael); two brothers-in-law, Dean Myers (Carolyn) and Richard Myers (Cheryl); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, August 12, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Ameila, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Court House, VA 23002.
